A housekeeper in London is not a cleaning booking — it is the same vetted person, the same day, the same hour, week after week. UKDOM places English- and Russian-speaking housekeepers across prime Central London from £29 an hour, with a managed monthly package at £420 and permanent placement at £450.
What a housekeeper costs in London
| Arrangement | Price | What it means |
|---|---|---|
| Weekly housekeeper, three hours a visit | £29 an hour in prime central postcodes, £25 elsewhere in Central London | From £87 a visit, booked visit by visit, no contract |
| Prime Care — four three-hour visits a month | £420 a month | One fixed slot, the same housekeeper each time, priority on urgent requests |
| Twice a week, three hours a visit | from £696 a month | Eight visits at the prime rate |
| Permanent placement — a housekeeper you employ directly | £450 one-off fee | We source, vet and introduce; you employ them yourself |
| Trial visit before you commit | from £87 | Three hours, no obligation to continue |
Live-out, part-time or full-time
Most London households want a part-time live-out housekeeper: two to four visits a week, three to six hours each, covering cleaning, laundry, ironing, bed changes, shopping and letting trades in. A full-time live-out housekeeper is a direct employment arrangement — that is where the placement fee applies, because you take the person on yourself and pay them a salary rather than paying us an hourly rate.
How we vet
Every housekeeper is interviewed in person, has references taken up and checked by us rather than read off a page, and is insured. We place women only. Where a household needs someone who can also drive, cook or care for a pet, we say so before the introduction rather than after.
Where we place
Prime central first — Knightsbridge and Belgravia, Mayfair, Kensington and Chelsea — then the rest of Central London. Hourly rates by postcode are on the flat cleaning page. Where there is a garden as well as a house to run, see gardener and housekeeper couples. For W1U, W1G, W1H and NW1, see cleaners in Marylebone — three hours for £90, with urgent visits within 3 hours.
Supplements
| When it applies | Supplement | Worked example |
|---|---|---|
| Pets in the home | +20% | A three-hour visit: £87 becomes £104 |
| Same-day booking | +£15 per visit | Added to the visit, whatever its length |
| Saturdays, Sundays and bank holidays | +15% | A three-hour visit: £87 becomes £100 |
Products, equipment and travel are included in the hourly rate.
